Here are some helpful hints for some common lighting problems.
If some of your lights are not working:
- Go to the outlet where your lights are plugged in
- See if it is a GFCI Outlet (pictured) with a test and reset button
- GFCI outlets are a fragile safety feature designed to protect your home, sometimes they will trip when the lights are on and it is raining, snow is melting, or if water is getting into the lights or outlet.
- If the outlet does not have a test and reset button then there should be an outlet somewhere else that has a reset button that controls the outlet where your lights are plugged in. Often those outlets are can be outside, in a bathroom, or in a garage.
- Push in the reset button (red button in image) when your lights should be on and your problem may already be solved
- If the reset button will not go in and stay, then you do not have power at the outlet and your breaker switch may be tripped
- If the reset button trips and snaps back out, then there is still a moisture problem, wait for a dryer time and try again
- If you do not see any source of moisture and the problem persists call us and we will perform a maintenance
If your timer needs to be reset:
- Reset the timer by spinning the dial until the correct time shows in the ‘time of day’ window labeled near the center of the timer
